The healthy and safety of our patients are always our top priorities. We perform blood tests prior to anesthesia to ensure proper organ function and adjust anesthetic plans as needed depending on the results. Once your pet is asleep, one of our trained veterinary technicians will monitor their heart rate and rhythm, respiratory rate, oxygen and carbon dioxide levels, blood pressure, and body temperature throughout the procedure.
For maximum safety, we place IV catheters and endotracheal tubes for all patients undergoing anesthesia. Intravenous (IV) fluids help maintain blood pressure, and our heated surgical table and warmed air blankets help combat body temperature drops that can be detrimental to patients.
Pain management is imperative before, during, and after surgery. Our doctors tailor each patient’s pain regimen individually to ensure maximum pain relief and comfort. We provide the highest standard of veterinary care and are here to address any questions or concerns you may have when your pet needs an operation.
