Dr. Jennifer Frione
Jennifer Frione, DVM
Dr. Jennifer Frione is the new proud owner of Lakeside Animal Hospital. She is a Florida native who has always been passionate about animals. She attended Florida Gulf Coast University where she earned a Bachelor’s in Biology. She obtained her DVM from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed her clinical year at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine. Her veterinary interests include shelter medicine, nutrition, preventative care, rehabilitation, and soft tissue surgery. Frione who has always been passionate about animals was inspired to become a veterinarian early in life. Having been raised with a variety of pets, she frequently cared for stray cats in the neighborhood and her neighbor’s pets when they traveled out of town.
Prior to the purchase of Lakeside Animal Hospital in May 2019, Dr. Frione had been practicing in Naples, Florida before moving back to the east coast to be closer to her family and has been employed at Lakeside Animal Hospital as a DVM since 2018.
When not at Lakeside Animal Hospital, Dr Frione enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves spending time outdoors, cooking, and boating. Dr Frione and her husband Ryan share their home with their newborn son Liam, stepdaughter Kennedy and their two fur babies, Tigger and Rocco.
Dr. Frione is firmly committed to building on Dr. Fernandez’s legacy of Practicing Big Medicine in a Family hospital environment. “I have found my place and can’t think of a better way to spend my life doing what I love, with a team that feels the same way I do about our patients and clients! I want to follow in Dr. Fernandez’s footsteps by providing state-of-the-art medicine and personal attention while upholding the same traditions and values that have been practiced for the last two decades.”
Dr Frione is very much looking forward to getting to know both you and your pets as well as continuing to support their happy, long and healthy lives.
