Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update and Our Continuing Commitment To You and Your Pet(s)

Dear Valued Clients,

As we all follow the impact of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we want you to know that the health and well-being of you and your beloved pet(s) is our top priority. At this time, Lakeside Animal Hospital remains committed to providing the highest quality veterinary services and will remain open as long as we can offer a safe and healthy environment for our patients and our team members.

We will continue to operate under modified business hours, however, as knowledge about this novel virus continues to evolve, we are taking additional precautionary measures to assist in limiting exposure.

As a means of promoting and preserving social distancing, only hospital personnel are allowed inside all areas of the hospital until further notice.

As a result, we offer delivery concierge service 2-3 days per week to any location in the City of Plantation. Call us at (954) 474-8808 and we will arrange to directly deliver what you need, whether it be medication, dog food, or anything else deliverable. If your pet requires Veterinary attention or grooming, we will bring your pet to the hospital and back. Restrictions apply.

If you still prefer to come by, upon arrival of your scheduled appointment call us from your vehicle to let us know you’ve arrived. Give the color/make/model of your vehicle, and your cell phone number.

A team member will be out shortly to receive your pet, confirm the reason for your visit and any concerns you would like the Doctor to address while you wait in your car. Once a doctor has examined your pet, we will contact you via phone to discuss treatment options for the care needed. Cats must be in a carrier with no personal belongings in the carrier and Dogs will need their collar on & personal leash removed. A Lakeside leash will be provided.

Online and phone communication

During business hours we are always accessible via phone, email, or direct message via the Lakeside Pets mobile app for any questions.

Prescriptions (Medications, Preventatives and Food)

For prescription refills, we will be happy to bring them to your car when you arrive.  Please call and let us know you are here, and we can do payment by phone.  Many prescriptions can also be ordered and shipped to your home through our on-line pharmacy, where you can order and have items shipped directly to your house. Visit our online pharmacy by clicking Prescription & Refills here or in the top toolbar.

Boarding

Boarding, spa & grooming services are still available. We ask however, that you do not bring personal items (blankets, toys, etc.) with pets when you drop off. We understand it may be inevitable that first responders and hospital personnel will be called to work extended hours during this time. In appreciation, we are discounting day boarding & overnight boarding 20% for these individuals until further notice.

All of our dedicated team members have been instructed to monitor their own health very closely. If a team member is showing any symptoms of any illness, they have been advised to seek medical attention and treatment and not to report for their shift until their symptoms have resolved.

As always, we will strive to create a safe and reliable hospital for you and your pets. Please refer to American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) COVID-19 FAQ for Pet Owners.
